Town of Wake Forest Honored with JustServe Town Award for Commitment to Volunteerism

On Jan. 20, 2026, the Town of Wake Forest, NC received the JustServe Town Award for their commitment to volunteerism and service. Presenting the award to the town was Angela Thornton Wake Forest JustServe specialist.

The Town of Wake Forest, NC was nominated for its consistent commitment to meeting real community needs through meaningful partnerships and town-supported initiatives. Through Wake Forest Cares, programs such as HOPE, Shop with a Cop, winter coat drives, food security efforts, and environmental stewardship opportunities reflect a community that actively cares for its residents.

The JustServe City program recognizes cities and towns that actively promote service and volunteerism within their communities. JustServe believes in spreading hope, goodness, and unity through the vital role of volunteerism.
