In Heaven, Together.

Temple & Family History

At the heart of our faith is a simple, beautiful promise: families can be together forever. Temples connect heaven and earth, binding hearts across generations and beyond mortality.

Family history is more than names and dates—it’s discovering stories, preserving memories, and honoring those who came before us. Through temples, we offer them sacred blessings, and in return, we feel their love strengthen ours.

With free tools like FamilySearch.org and the FamilySearch apps, anyone can begin this journey of connection. Because in God’s plan, family is forever—and every story matters.

The Raleigh North Carolina Temple, the first temple built in the state, closed on January 7, 2018, to undergo extensive renovations. As part of the remodel, crews modernized the mechanical and electrical systems, enhanced accessibility by bringing spaces into ADA compliance, and made subtle floor plan adjustments by relocating windows and doors. The entrance canopy was fully enclosed, and the steeple was elevated an additional 10 feet, giving the temple a refreshed and more prominent presence.
