What You Can Learn & Explore
Kids' Activities & Safety: Bring the whole family! Kids can participate in a hands-on Fire Safety Class and learn how to assemble their very own Kids' Bug Out Bag.
SKYWARN® Weather Spotter Training (11:00 AM): Sponsored by the Raleigh National Weather Service, this free class trains new weather spotters to make real-time reports during severe weather events—and allows existing spotters to renew their certification.
Ham Radio Communication: Learn how amateur radio works during emergencies, sign up for upcoming free classes, and find out what is required to test for your own operator's license.
Food & Water Storage: Discover simple, practical strategies for building and maintaining long-term supplies at home.
