Louisburg Recognized as a JustServe Town
On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Diane Ferrari of the Franklinton Ward and regional representative for JustServe, presented the JustServe Town Award to the Town of Louisburg during their town council meeting. In attendance representing the Wake Forest Stake were Seth Champion, Carey Parrish, Lars Capener, and Angela Thornton.
JustServe believes in spreading hope, goodness, and unity through the vital role of volunteerism. The JustServe City program recognizes cities and towns that actively promote service and volunteerism within their communities.
Louisburg was nominated for its unwavering commitment to service through organizations such as the Franklin County Interfaith Council, multiple food pantries, and its support of Global Youth Day. The town has also made remarkable efforts to serve its residents through initiatives such as swiftwater rescue, the White Flag Shelter, and coordinating heating and cooling stations—among many others.
As Diane Ferrari noted in her presentation, “Louisburg has inspired its citizens to uplift one another and build a stronger, more connected community.”
Congratulations to Mayor Neal and the entire Town of Louisburg for their ongoing commitment to service!
