House of Fortitute/Young Adult Job Fair

On Saturday, May 9th, the Wake Forest NC Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosted the House of Fortitude’s Youth/Young Adult job fair at the church’s Knightdale meetinghouse. The House of Fortitude is a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving disadvantaged populations by supporting basic needs and educational opportunities.

Through this partnership, young adult attendees were able to receive resume writing assistance, participate in mock interviews, and speak with employers directly, including businesses such as Chick-fil-A and Cookout. As a direct result of the job fair, three young adults were hired on the spot! Through valuable community partnerships such as these, we can combine resources to help better serve those in need of support.
