A Joyful Milestone: The Creation of the Creedmoor Ward

Sunday, March 22nd marked a meaningful and memorable occasion during ward conference as President Will Thornton shared exciting news with the congregation. A letter from Elder Dale G. Renlund, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, was read, granting official approval for the creation of the Creedmoor Ward as part of the Wake Forest North Carolina Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This announcement represents a significant milestone for a community that has grown steadily in faith and unity.

Leadership for the newly organized ward will see John Baldwin serving as Bishop, supported by Jason M. Ganowsky as first counselor and Paxton M. Edwards as second counselor.

During his remarks, President Thornton expressed sincere gratitude to the members for their faithfulness, prayers, and fasting—efforts that helped nurture the branch into a ward. He also acknowledged the hand of the Savior, whose love, grace, and power made this moment possible by touching hearts and guiding the growth of the congregation.

The meeting also included the sustaining of Lindsey McDonald as Relief Society president, with Catie Pomerenke as 1st counselor and Hope Peedin as 2nd counselor. Their willingness to serve adds to the spirit of unity and dedication that continues to strengthen the ward.
